Livie and her family live on a private lake in Muskego, WI, so when her mom asked if we could do the session at her place I didn't hesitate to say yes. We met up prior to the session to scope out all the spots that would work for the time of day and had tons to work with. This is a mandatory step if you'd like me to try a spot of your choosing for your senior portrait session. It ensures I know where the light will be at the time of our session so that I can get the most beautiful shots possible. We used Livie's backyard, we nabbed tons of shots along the private lake, and we even stopped at a nearby park for some architectural backdrops. I love this session, check out the portraits below! "Senior pictures were beautiful, Kelsey was warm and very organized, my daughter was comfortable, received them quickly, I highly recommend. Plan on booking her in the future for my other kids and family pictures." -Jenni W.

Photographing Emily was so much fun! This vivacious and kind-hearted senior was easy to talk to, quick to smile, and full of joy. I was so excited to explore Atwater Beach for senior portraits in Milwaukee. It truly is a gorgeous spot for graduation photos and I hope to photograph more seniors here in the future. Emily did a stand-up job with her outfits - all of them represented her vibrant and warm personality without being to "busy" - plus she was comfortable in them. I loved Emily's senior portraits and I hope you do too!
I had such a fantastic time photographing Julia for her senior portraits on my farm in Franklin, WI. This gal brought some stellar outfits for her Gold Package senior portrait photography session. We started at my farm and got a ton of great shots and then finished up at Lion Legends Park just a few minutes away. Julia was so much fun to work with and I adore the photos we got. See for yourself!
Tyler was such a great senior to photograph. He and his mom were so laid back about the entire session and it was incredibly easy to get him to smile. We cracked a ton of FRIENDS jokes, talked about archery, and traipsed around Minooka Park. I love this location for senior portraits and will definitely be back for more. The big red barn, the winding paths, and all the mature trees make it a wonderful spot for posing. Tyler went with the Bronze Package, which is a simple one-outfit and one-location option that is fairly popular with the senior guys. Don't be fooled though- you get a TON of variety even within that 30 minute session. See for yourself!
It was so lovely getting the chance to photograph Jenna for her senior portraits in downtown Milwaukee. We immediately bonded because she is a theatre kid, just like I was in high school. For Jenna's senior session, she went with the Silver Package which allowed her two outfits and two locations. We walked along Water Street in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward for one outfit, and then along Cathedral Square for her other outfit. The overcast day was a blessing so we could get beautiful perfectly exposed pictures of downtown Milwaukee as a backdrop. Thank you Jenna for such a fun senior portrait session!
Getting to do a dance-themed senior portrait session in downtown Milwaukee with Noelle was a dream come true! Noelle and her family came armed with tons of amazing ideas and poses - I adored collaborating with them. For this senior portrait shoot, Noelle decided to go with the Gold Package. With the Gold Package, she was able to do two outfits downtown, and then do a second location and final outfit that was more nature-based. I love how much variety we can get when seniors go for the two or three-outfit option. The downtown dance portraits are just as stunning as the ones we took on my farm - see for yourself!
It always feels so good getting back to my old stomping grounds in Minneapolis for a senior portrait session. The Guthrie Theatre is a fantastic public space for doing indoor senior photography. Working with Sydney was like hanging out with a dear friend. She is a fellow theatre kid and loves all things Wendy Wasserstein, just like me! This location suited her perfectly. I love all the clean lines and vivid contrast The Guthrie Theatre affords photographers. Every time I can work out doing a session here I am overjoyed!
I can't believe it has taken me this long to get Tori's session up on the blog, but better late than never! I adored working with Tori and am floored with the gorgeous senior portraits we got. We had the PERFECT day in August last summer. The sun was out and it wasn't too humid once we got back to my property in Franklin, WI. Tori went with the Silver Session, where she was able to do two locations and two outfits. It's the perfect package if you want to save a bit, but also have access to variety for your senior portraits.
Photographing in the Historic Third Ward for Brandon's senior portrait session was just perfect. Brandon and his mom were so fun to talk to, which always makes the session go by super fast! They opted for my short and sweet Bronze Package, in which you get to wear one outfit and have a 30 minute photography session. The Bronze Package is awesome for senior guys because often they don't want too much fuss. The thirty minutes goes by in a flash and I always end up getting some wonderful shots. This session is no exception! "Kelsey did an amazing job for my son's senior pictures. I would use her again for my family photos. She captured the greatest shots and she had the greatest locations. She was very pleasant to work with." -Terry
Jimmy and his family were a total blast to work with (they even came back for family portraits!). We decided to go with Frame Park in Waukesha for Jimmy's senior portrait session. Jimmy was fairly straight-faced throughout his senior portrait session, which is totally normal for boys. I don't like to force people to smile so I always roll with it. When I told him his kitty could be in one of his pictures though, he was smiling ear to ear for the camera! I totally get it because I am obsessed with my cats. Working with Jimmy was so fun and I love the senior pictures we got.
