Katlyn and Alexis are two peas in a pod. We had such a fantastic time galloping around the downtown area taking pictures for their senior yearbook. Right down to their matching leggings, printed sweaters, and boots- these girls were the absolute cutest. The weather was a bit iffy, but we braved it anyway and got some gorgeous photos. Katyln's earrings were so flipping cute and after the session I went and ordered a pair for myself! It worked out great doing the gal pal session because Katlyn and Alexis had each other to bounce off of, from getting each other to laugh to causing truly genuine smiles. If you are a bit apprehensive to get a senior portrait session done because you get shy in front of the lens- do it with a friend! It seriously is the best way to make yourself comfortable and camera-ready. We had a lovely time and they got some gorgeous photos if I do say so myself. Are you intersted in setting up a buddy senior portrait session? Email me at email@example.com and we can get started!
"Kelsey took senior photos for my daughter and her friend. Kelsey was a pro! She made us feel at ease and took fantastic photos. We had a great time! We will call Kelsey for future family photo opportunities." -Julie R.
Getting referrals for your business is like Christmas morning. It seriously is the best compliment you can ever give a photographer. I photographed Rhiannon and Ben's wedding earlier this year and Rhiannon has been singing my praises to her recently engaged friends. Lauren is one of these fabulous ladies and I am so pleased with our engagement session. Lauren snooped out the most amazing location right outside of Minooka, IL. This little gem had walking trails, wooden bridges, and little benches scattered throughout the park. Finding shade is always a must on bright clear sunny days. That way you don't have to squint your way through the session, your eyes will thank you- believe me. Even with the leaves starting to truly shed themselves off of the trees, we had a good amount of shade. Mark's daughter, Lily, came with us on the shoot and she was the absolute cutest. Even when we saw a few bees she kept her cool and had the best smiles for the camera. The park had a huge cabin-like building on it with a wrap around porch. We definitely made the most of it! I asked little Lily to find me her favorite leaf so we could get the ring shot. She came back with two and neither of us could decide which was better. So we used them both! We had such a great time, the weather was beautiful, and I cannot wait to photograph Mark and Lauren's wedding next October!
"We absolutely loved working with Kelsey! She communicated with me in the months prior to our engagement photo session and answered all of my questions. She had such a creative energy during our session and was amazing with my fiance's 6 year old daughter. She made the photo session comfortable and natural which helped since my fiance and I were a little nervous for the photo session. Kelsey is very prompt with the photos and did an amazing job with the ones we selected for editing. Kelsey will be photographing our wedding in October of 2015 and I cannot wait because I know the wedding photos will be simply amazing."
This last weekend the leaves held on just long enough to get some absolutely magical shots for Matt and Piper's engagement portraits. Piper tipped me off to a fantastic walking trail for our session, and her location could not have been more spot on. The weather was beyond perfect. I don't think I'm the only photographer who has felt blessed that the leaves peaked so late this year. Piper and Matt were such a blast to work with, although they were both a bit nervous before our session as they claimed to not be the most photogenic couple. I beg to differ. Our session took just under an hour and a half and I got to see a part of Minnesota I didn't even know existed. We had such a blast together and I cannot wait to photograph their big day in April.
"Kelsey was an absolute joy to work with! She made my fiancé and I feel so comfortable and our pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined. I will definitely be recommending her to everyone I know and using her in all of our future events!"
