Stacy and I have known each other since our baby days. Both of our parents were congregation members at All Saint Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, cue hilarious Sunday School memories. I was so honored that she asked me to be the Dietrich family portrait photographer this June when their whole family was in town together. Stacy's older brother and sister are both parents and goodness, their kidlets are the cutest. We planned a few fun activities for the kids to stay engaged and get some great candid shots. There were bubbles, mini marshmallows, and baby dolls. Needless to say we had way too much fun. Grandpa and Grandma Dietrich did a great job keeping the kids focused with all of our activities. We were able to sneak in some fabulous sibling portraits too. When all was said and done the Dietrichs had some amazing shots to choose from for their holiday cards this year. I'll wrap up this blog post with my personal favorites from their top picks...
Merium and Michael's wedding was simply magical. Photographing the bridal party getting ready in a girl's locker room was definitely a first for me, and the end result was stunning. This was my first time photographing at Prestwick Country Club in Frankfort, Illinois and the location was stunning. Merium and Michael were the absolute calmest couple on their big day. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather, even though it was a bit steamy, the rain held out! Merium's wedding dress was gorgeous. It literally took my breath away when we opened up the dry cleaning bag to get some singular dress shots around the ground of the country club.
Michael and Merium did a "first look" shot so we could get through the majority of our wedding party photos before the ceremony took place. This is a super smart choice to take the pressure off of your big day and I suggest it to every couple! From the ceremony to the reception, both sides of their family were so kind to me. This was one of the smoothest weddings I have photographed and I am pleased as punch with the results.
"Kelsey did an amazing job as the photographer for my wedding. She was accommodating for anything I asked and had great input for creating beautiful pictures. She uses convenient ways to share pictures and is such a pleasure to work with. Thanks Kelsey!"
